SANatomy
Rapid comprehensive assessment of SAN infrastructure "storage‐to‐fabric"
No need to ask or guess, get accurate meaningful information when you need it
SANatomy™ is an on‐demand reporting system that provides executive level insight into your storage infrastructure. Its Information-driven report automation provides comprehensive storage infrastructure analysis for heterogeneous physical and virtual environments. SANatomy is an integral part of a decision support system addressing the challenges of "infrastructure blindness" for many IT projects. SANatomy empowers each part of the organization with the details needed to reduce the risk during execution and to speed technology implementations like virtualization, adoption of private cloud or hardware refreshes.

Key Capabilities
SANatomy provides environment insight across many vendor and model types via an agentless, non-intrusive, quick discovery and data mapping engine.

The reports address key questions on such topics as: aggregate capacity, utilization, availability, potential risk areas, and storage‐to‐fabric mapping. The executive questions can be customized based on requirements to include cost, savings and financial analysis to provide management with the fiscal information required to make informed decisions. The reports are an aggregation of data into information from the fabric and storage layers.
Determining the risk within your SAN
SANatomy brings information together in a sequence of reports that answers the questions often asked of a SAN environment. For example to answer "What have I got?" or "What's at risk?," SANatomy delivers a set of reports that show how close to capacity an array might be, how full a switch might be, how out-of-date micro code versions are, and can answer your most basic questions for financial planning.
Looking at storage overhead from an alternate point of view
The moment an array is installed its usable size is reduced: formatting the disks, adding system and control files, applying RAID, introducing clones and remote protection all consume an overhead. This overhead is often a blind spot in the management of a SAN. The SANatomy reports will keep abreast of overhead usage and show how it changes in time so everyone can understand the waterfall effect and what actually is being consumed by the business.
Data protection audit: RAID, local and remote replication
Occasionally the RAID and replication policy changes so it is important and necessary to know what exists on the resident arrays to move forward with a plan. SANatomy produces a profile of each array for site consolidation and separation planning purposes.
SANatomy Architecture

SANatomy is agentless. The discovery scripts are located at the client's site on the SAN management hosts.
The discovery securely collects only metadata. The SANatomy cloud client information is isolated and only accessible by authorized logon access. SANatomy on the cloud is Cisco D3 and RAID protected and backups are run daily.
Key Questions for quick access to information reports
Key questions on the interface provide quick access to "most wanted answers" such as: what are the potential risk areas, what is the inventory, what is the environment capacity and utilization breakdown, what is available, what is replicated, who is using the most storage?
Report Matrix to navigate to technical reports
The reports are also organized in a report matrix to easily navigate to: "array, switch information by count, utilization, capacity and availability.

- Arrays and Switch Inventory by location
- Capacity Summary

- Utilization Summary
- Raw vs mapped, vs, allocated vs used.
